John from www.growingyourgreens.com shares with you a simple way to save money on redwood garden stakes. He uses stakes to stake up many plants including tomatoes, tree collards, building and supporting trellis, and many other useful projects around the garden.

John shows how he makes stakes out of Cedar Fence Boards to make stakes so that he can stake his out-of-control tomato patch.

Im putting down weed block in my veggie garden should i just put stakes in the ground to hold the weed block down so it wont blow up in the wind??

We have the improved pinto beans this year planted in out garden. We have not planted these before, they are having spindles coming up and looking like they need to be staked.

I would like this to last a few months at least.

I planted bluebonnets in the local cemetry, but the caretaker tends to forget & mow things down, so I wanted a discreet marker for the various spots where bluebonnets are comming up.

Any ideas that don't require a welder?
